Like any illustration, it all starts with finding an idea for the cover. After reading the book, I sketched several concepts. Two of them were selected by the client for further development.

Following that, I created more detailed sketches and began exploring color solutions.

In the end, the first sketch was chosen, but it was decided to change the color palette. Here's how the work on the final illustration progressed:
